It just occurred to me the final chapter of the The Great Pergola Saga was never posted here…. some things got lost in the transfer. I rectified that immediately and if you’re particularly interested in how I grouted flagstone, straightened out the crooked bench, or the unorthodox methods my mother uses for painting hard to reach places or checking for level, the last chapter of how I turned this…

As for the rest of my life… I have to make some big career decisions in the next 24 hours or so, which has kind of slowed down the project-pace around here. I hope to be up to full speed by Friday night. Office priming anyone?

Was it intentional, or coincidental, that you used pictures from opposite seasons to aid in contrasting the difference from start to finish?
Funnily enough, I’m pretty sure both were taken in spring… despite the leaves, which were courtesy of my Ex who raked them all into my back yard instead of into the street the fall before.
If memory serves, the first is from April of 2006, the second from May of 2007.
