You know those days when you spend a good deal of time reviewing the last 26 years of your life to determine what major karmic faux pas you must have committed that would warrant everything in your life rebelling against the fact that you exist for the last 24 hours?
I just barely survived one of those.
It started with an exploding computer monitor (thanks to my new budget restrictions I am currently viewing your blogs from a three-hundred pound refrigerator-sized behemoth) and was closely followed by the disappearance of the Internet and my sanity.
In fact the only two good things about the last 24 hours are that 1.) MysteryMan is a saint and still tolerates my existence for reasons neither of us quite understand. And 2.) I got to see Flogging Molly play a badass concert in Detroit.
Seriously, go to www.floggingmolly.com or just download the song Drunken Lullabies from iTunes and tell me you don’t fall in love with them instantly. One of my favorite things about MysteryMan is that he introduced me to all of my favorite irish bands (The Pogues, and Dropkick Murphys as well).
And, if you’re into music that doesn’t completely suck (i.e. any song whose entire lyrics DO NOT consist of repeating one syllable of a word over and over and over again for three minutes… umbrella-ella-ella-ella, who the hell thinks this stuff up?) You should also check out Reverend Peytons Big Damn Band which will be one of the few times you hear someone play the electric washboard (yeah, you heard that right) and actually enjoy it. It was pretty cool to see.
So hey, there is my silver lining. Followed closely by the fact that you will see pictures of a FINALLY FINISHED OFFICE sometime tomorrow.
Here’s to the hope of a better 1440 minutes tomorrow.
P.S. Here’s my public service announcement for the day. DO NOT EVER BUY A MAG COMPUTER MONITOR. Mine was about 14 months old… and apparently its common for their power inverter boards to spontaneously combust or something and after about a year they just stop working and can’t be repaired. Sweet.

Awww. We attacked the jukebox at our bar this weekend and filled it with Flogging Molly and Firehose (NOT Firehouse…for nostalgic purposes).
Good times.
i have loved flogging molly since boy introduced them to me awhile back, but i went and watched the video just the same…hang in there.
Love Flogging Molly!!! Hope the concert turned your frown upside down
