I plead insomnia.

Which is a lot like pleading insanity– because I am completely raving mad– except that my eyes don’t ever close.
Between Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, I got a grand total of around 9 hours of sleep. And I’m the kind of person who needs around nine hours of sleep per night to function like an actual human being who hasn’t completely lost their mind. I haven’t had this kind of sleeping problem since back in college when my entire existance was built on a foundation of caffiene, alcohol, and the sheer force of my will.
So… yes. Posting has been light. Sleeping has been light. And the number of coherent sentences I am able to string together into a paragraph that has any sembelence of meaning has been light. Which isn’t to say that things haven’t been going on, they just aren’t my usual DIYfabulous things. And even the lack of sleep wouldn’t stop me from starting new projects (I’m like a junkie) but both MysteryMan and I have birthdays and a trip to Vegas (No. We are NOT getting married.) coming up so all of my funds have been channeling in that direction instead of toward my much-needed tool fix.
I know, excuses, excuses, blah, blah, blah.
I’m going to be lending a hand to MysteryMan and The Fam by helping build a BFRW (did you get that one Patti??) over the next few weeks. I’ve also got a mock-up of the mural I’m starting this week, god-willing, and a fun lesson on how to paint bricks on your wall that don’t look completely lame.
Just as soon as I get 36 hours of sleep in a row, I’ll get started on filling you in on all of that. I swear.
But for now, I give you…

I had a Benadryl last night. Worked like a baseball bat to the back of the head. Not even the histamine laden cat could wake me.
