An app that allows you to take a picture of a room and it automatically coordinates what the best colors to paint the walls would be based on the colors of the furniture, floor, other accessories in the room.

More than one person had that idea, and I totally agree. Goodbye 100 paint samples for every room I try to paint.

Fortunately for me, I use Random.org’s random number generator to pick my contest winners, instead of picking the best idea. Because you guys would be waiting a long time for that iTouch.

Something Free for the Rest of Us

All is not lost for the rest of us though. Glidden is giving away a free quart of the-color-of-your-choice paint this week. This is perfect if you have a room that needs touch ups or feel like painting an accent wall. I don’t have the details just yet, but as soon as the info is up on Glidden’s website, I’ll let you all know.

Now, this post has come at the end of one of the longest DIY marathon weekends ever. I was still painting walls in my house after midnight, and let’s not even get started on the bathroom trim or new storm door installation… because seriously? I need some sleep.
