I’ve just decided I know absolutely nothing about soil testing, insulation, or siding a house with something other than hand nailed wavy-edged cedar siding, so unless the questions on the builders exam are oddly specific… I’m done for.
MysteryMan is currently dreaming of sugar-plums, or that smirk on his face is because I asked him what the hell a silt fence was before he went to bed and he’s still chuckling that Ms. 4.0 is going to fail the shit out of this exam.
We’ll know by 5 or 6 PM tomorrow.
I could use a telepathic connection with someone reading the 2006 Michigan Residential Code book tomorrow, but I’ll settle for just some good vibes.

Good luck!!!!!!!!! You had a 4.0 GPA, you obviously have some killer test taking skills. So, you’ll do well

Thanks Elisa! I think I’d do fine if I knew what the questions would be. I’ve got the answers to 150 random code facts memorized, but who knows if that’s what’ll be on the test…

Good luck, I have no doubt you’ll rock it! I’m the same way – I survived the bar exam after law school but I got all in a twitter about my realtor exam – once you’re out of that “test taking mode” it’s hard to get back into it!

You don’t really need good vibes or good luck because you have brains and talent. And a much better memory than you give yourself credit for when you’re starting to doubt, which you clearly are. Look at it this way. The worst that can happen is that you will absolutely fall flat on your face. So what! My god, woman, you’re young. If you strike out, try it again. But, in any case, you won’t have to because you’re too damned bright to do anything but pass it the first time round. Now, soak for a bit in whatever tub is available, have some wine, and get some sleep. You’ll be fine.
