Home Secrets: Day 4

This week has been somewhat hectic. If you compare that against what I consider normal that might give you an indication of how many things are being required from me at once when I say “hectic.”

Regardless, your secrets are keeping me going and I try to knock out a couple every day.

I’m probably about half-way through what I’m going to be able to complete for this first phase of the project, but its been so much fun I might have to consider a phase 2 sometime.

I fantasize about my house burning down in that weird, morbid way you fantasize about bad things happening to you. I always think about what things I would take with me. I think if I took out all of the things I want to take out I would probably get stuck and die in the house.

One of my biggest home secrets is wanting to live in the country. I consider my self a city girl but I think it would be really nice to have a weekend house in the country. I’ll get it when money rains from the sky.

THESE ARE GREAT! And I can totally relate to each of them. Except the fire one. That had to s.u.c.k.

How awesome to see my house go up in flames! Again! Did I mention it happened on my husband’s birthday? And Ellen, I still fantasize about my house burning down, as ours *only* burned 49% according to the insurance company, which means they didn’t have to replace the entire house (which they would do at 50% damage) and could just *fix* it. Well, 20 years later, we’re still dealing with their *fixes* – ugh. On the bright side, no one was hurt (we hadn’t moved our new kittens into the house yet) and the things we lost were just that – things.
