We are thisclose to having one finished bathroom in the house, which will bring us a giant leap closer to actually living in it some day.

Aside from finishing the tiled vanity counter last week, I also installed the rest of the standing stone border around the tub, and grouted all of the tile.

Now it’s just a little final plumbing to get the sink, toilet, and tub fixtures installed, and a few finishing touches to complete the first room of the house.

Here are a couple of recent purchases.

For above the mirror:

For the floor:

And for the shower:

I’m 100% unsure about how the shower curtain will work, but that’s what return policies are for, right?

Here’s to hoping I’ll be able to show you the big reveal next week!

Looking at your progress has become one of my favorite things lately. You have not only great technical skill (and stamina) but a lovely sense of style. Cheering you on from down in Dallas. Brava!

Looking good! I love the light fixture and the rug. I think a solid white shower curtain would probably work better than that one. Unless the undertones of the tan match up with the tile it might look blah. White is safe and will put the focus on your lovely tile job.
