I’m not sure what inspired my idea for today, other than that I feel like I’ve been overly-nostalgic this week (and less irreverant that I usually am) and, as you’re reading this, I’m probably starting the first of six straight hours of meetings that I’ll be in today. Which is enough to make your eyes cross, right?
So I decided that because it’s Thursday, and because I have the day off tomorrow, and because I dearly love a laugh (points if you know what book that line is from) I’ve pulled together four short posts that are set to publish throughout the day, that do just that… make me laugh. Maybe make you laugh. And give us all something to look forward to today.
For this one, I’ve put together some of my favorite snippets from the comments section of this website for your reading enjoyment:
From Patti on One Year of Progress (and Swearing):
From Kay on I Bought Something Off Craigslist and Didn’t Get Killed By an Axe Murderer:
From Kenz on A Useable Indoor Workbench:
From Holyoke Home on This is Getting Ridiculous (which is an old post, but still stands as one of the funniest comments ever):
(I actually didn’t realize these lyrics go to the same song I made up my Christmas lyrics to this year, but there you go… great minds think alike.)
More than anything this tells me that the people who read this website are effing awesome, and totally get me. Check back later today for three more posts of things that make me laugh (and probably will make you laugh because, come on, this shit is funny). They should post around 11 AM, 3PM, and 6PM EST if I did my math right… which probably I didn’t because I’m shit at math and time zones, but listen, I can’t be good at everything, okay? I could have spread these out over the next several days, but truthfully I wanted to add a little excitement and a few breaks for laughter into our Thursday.
Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for being the best readers ever. (There I go with the effing nostalgia again. There must be something in the water…)

Pride and Prejudice?
You and Sarah have me inspired to redo my stairs in my year old house. Who says you can’t tear things up in a new house? Keep rocking out with your sander out!

HA! Punching someone in the face…must be in the air. I’ve said that twice this week. There’s a reason I like it here

I forgot to add: gives me a giant happy when I know I’ve made someone laugh. Especially when it involves profanity. ~snort~
