Walled In: Part 1

The title says it all, does it not?

This is the “finished” side of the house.

I can now say I have a bedroom. Actual four walls and a ceiling kind of room.

We agonized over the height of that fireplace in the middle of the wall, and looking at it in an actual wall, I think we got it just right.

I’m seeing it with floor to ceiling standing river-rock and a big leather chair in the corner.

And from the other side… what I wouldn’t give for a tub there.

The shower, soon to be getting lots of attention. Maybe. If I ever pick out tile for it.

It’s very possible that by Wednesday, I will have a whole house full of walls. And since that’s all I asked for from Santa this year, I guess you could say that Christmas came a little early for me.

Back in 2004 I started writing about my adventures in fixing up houses on the internet. A lot of things have changed since then, with me, with my houses, and with the internet. These days I am basically a cranky old man trapped in a slightly less old woman’s body. The internet has changed and I am staunchly refusing to change with it.
